Hot Air Balloons

In science, we have been studying about the different forces that make flight possible. Today we studied how hot air balloons are able to take flight. On the video clip below, check out how an hot air balloon is able to take flight.

Use the following questions to comment on this blog: What happens when air is heated? What makes the hot air balloon lift off the ground? Explain the process in your own words.

If you have any questions, write them in your comment(s). Maybe someone will respond with an answer.

A hot air balloon has three essential parts: the burner, which heats the air; the balloon envelope, which holds the air; and the basket, which carries the passengers.
